Department of Sports Management

The Department of Sports Management has been approved by YÖK to accept students in the 2020-2021 academic year. The aim is to train managers who are in need of our country in the field of sports.

The Department of Sports Management, while training qualified sports managers, includes courses and subjects specific to sports organizations management, law, business, communication, marketing, psychology and many sports branches in its program. Students will be recruited through a special talent exam.

Program Language: Turkish

Program Description: With a strong academic staff and program, it provides undergraduate education to train qualified Sports Managers who can serve sports-related institutions, schools and universities in the public and private sectors, together with organizations that provide services for the sports industry, recreation and leisure.

Admission and Registration Requirements: High school diploma, getting enough points from the university exam conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), Not being registered in another higher education institution. The students who will be admitted to our Department by our faculty are placed with the "Special Talent Exam" held in accordance with the Special Talent Exam and Selection Method principles of the Higher Education Institutions Exam Guide.

Graduation Requirements: In order for our students to graduate from the program, they can have the right to graduate if they take the amount of ECTS specified in the program after 4 years (8 semesters) of education and if they achieve the qualifications specified in the program before.

Employment Opportunities: Our students, who are entitled to graduate after 4 years of education, are able to work in service units suitable for their education and expertise within the central and provincial organizations of the General Directorate of Sports Services, as managers at different levels in the tourism sector, in private gyms, organizations and businesses, in our social life under the name of healthy life. They will be able to work as a manager in the organization and implementation of the activities, in private and public organizations that employ more than five hundred workers and civil servants, and in the relevant staff of local administrations, and as a professional sports manager in the organization and implementation of sports activities of any unit.

Transfer to Higher Degree Programs: All students who successfully complete the 4-year undergraduate program can apply to graduate education programs by meeting the other specified conditions.
