About the Department

‍The primary goal of the Sports Sciences Department is to provide sports education within the universal scientific standards that constitute the mission of universities. Students who choose this department are expected to have a background in sports and to connect the events they experience within sports to science. It is aimed to make versatile and detailed performance analysis specific to the branch, to do it by quantifying it, to report it by quantifying it, to draw conclusions by determining the weaknesses and strengths, and to determine training plan and program strategies.

                                                                                                                      PROGRAM DESRIPTION

The Department of Sports Sciences provides undergraduate education in recreation in tourism, recreational sports management, sports animator, sports sciences concentrated with health information, physical fitness specialization.

 

‍Our department has closed student admission as of the 2020-2021 academic year.

 

 In order for our students to graduate from the program, they must obtain the ECTS amount specified in the program after 4 years (8 semesters) of education and have previously completed the program. They may be eligible to graduate if they achieve the specified qualifications.

 

‍Our department graduates work as coaches and instructors in amateur and professional sports clubs, in the central and provincial organizations of the General Directorate of Youth and Sports Services, and in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education. They can work as fitness instructors, aerobic step trainers, physical fitness trainers, and performance analysts in the private sector. They can be appointed to military units. They can be appointed as police officers.

 

 ‍All students who successfully complete the 4-year undergraduate program can apply to postgraduate education programs by meeting the other specified conditions.
