November 10th Atatürk Commemoration Table Tennis Cup

Our university is organizing the "10th November Atatürk Commemoration Table Tennis Cup." The competition will take place on Sunday, November 10th, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Atatürk Sports Hall. Applications will be accepted from November 4th to 8th, 2024, through the SDÜNET platform, under the "Applications" section, via the "Sports Applications" button.

The competition is open to students, academic staff, and administrative personnel of Süleyman Demirel University.

Additionally, students who wish to volunteer for the event are invited to apply. Volunteers must contact the Faculty of Sports Sciences for registration.

 

Table Tennis Rules

The competition will be held at the Atatürk Sports Hall of the Faculty of Sports Sciences on November 10, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

There will be participation in Women’s and Men’s categories.

The competition is open to academic staff, administrative staff, and students.

Participants must arrive at the game area with appropriate sportswear, shoes, and table tennis rackets.

Players must be at the game area 30 minutes before the match and warm up together.

An elimination system will be used to determine the winner of the competition.

Players will be paired by a draw. If the number of applicants is odd, a “bye” may be given.

Players who will receive a “bye” will be determined at the beginning of the draw.

A maximum of 5 sets will be played in a match, and the player who wins at least 3 sets will be the winner. To win a set, a player must reach 11 points first.

If both players reach 10 points, the set continues until one player gains a 2-point lead and wins the set.

The standard court specifications outlined in the Table Tennis rules will apply.

Standard table tennis tables, rackets, and balls will be used during the matches.

Players who fail to arrive at the designated time or do not show up at the game area will lose the match and be disqualified.

A player displaying unsportsmanlike conduct will be disqualified from the tournament.

For issues not specified in these rules, the regulations of the Turkish Table Tennis Federation (TMTF) will apply
