Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Faculty of Sports Sciences Celebrates 2023-2024 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony with Enthusiasm

The Faculty of Sports Sciences at Süleyman Demirel University celebrated its 2023-2024 academic year graduation ceremony with enthusiasm, graduating its third cohort from the Physical Education and Sports Teaching, Coaching Education, and Sports Management Departments. The ceremony took place on June 13, 2024, at 13:30 in the Atatürk Sports Hall, attended by faculty members, administrative staff, students, and their families.

The ceremony began with a procession, followed by a minute of silence and the national anthem in honor of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our country. Traditional folk dances, Taekwondo, and gymnastics performances were then presented. Following these performances, Associate Dean Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kumartaşlı and Coaching Education Department Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gürhan Suna delivered speeches highlighting the significance of the day.

After the faculty members' speeches, department chairs were invited on stage to present certificates and diplomas. In the Physical Education and Sports Department, certificates and diplomas were awarded to the top students: Fadime Akay, Ayşenur Bilirgen, and Hüseyin Şamil Eliağır. These awards were presented by Department Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tahir Kılıç. Similarly, in the Coaching Education Department, Mehmet Kılınç, Zekeriya Eyiz, and Ali Avcı received their awards from Department Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gürhan Suna. Lastly, in the Sports Management Department, Kader Çelik, Göksel Toşur, and Büşra Battal received their awards from Department Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Osman Pepe.

Following the presentation of certificates and diplomas to the top students in each department, those who graduated with honors were invited on stage. Zekeriya Eyiz, Fadime Akay, and Mehmet Kılınç received their honors certificates from Vice Deans Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kumartaşlı and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Olcay Salici. Mehmet Kılınç, the top student of the faculty, was then invited to the lectern to deliver a speech and participate in the plaque ceremony for the graduation record. Finally, Mehmet Kılınç administered the graduation oath to the graduating students, followed by the traditional cap toss ceremony, marking the end of the graduation ceremony.
