APPLICATION CONDITIONS AND IMPLEMENTATION PRINCIPLES

Students who have exceeded their maximum duration but are not in the final year will be dismissed.
Students who wish to benefit from exam rights after the maximum duration must apply through the student information system on the dates specified in the academic calendar annex for the year their maximum duration ends. Students who do not apply for exam rights will be deemed to have waived these rights, and actions will be taken according to the applicable article of the implementation principles that match the student's situation.
The date, place, and time information for the exams will be determined by the units' Administrative Boards and announced on the unit websites. The exams will have a 100% weight, and the passing grade must be DD or above.
Exam rights and implementation principles are as follows: a. Students who fail only one course at the end of the maximum duration or after additional exams will be given unlimited exam rights without benefiting from student rights. These students will take the final exams and resit exams in the semester the course is offered. The success condition is as stated in the third article. If the student fails due to absenteeism, they must meet the attendance requirement. b. Students who reduce the total number of failed courses, including those they have never taken or were unable to take or failed due to not meeting attendance requirements, to five by not taking the additional exams will be granted an additional four semesters. These students will take the midterm, final exams, and resit exams in the semester the courses are offered. c. Students who reduce the total number of failed courses, including those they have never taken or were unable to take or failed due to not meeting attendance requirements, to five after additional exams will be granted an additional three semesters. These students will take the midterm, final exams, and resit exams in the semester the courses are offered. d. Final-year students who have passed all the necessary courses for graduation but are in danger of dismissal due to not meeting the required GPA will be given unlimited exam rights to improve their GPA. Students who do not take the exams for three consecutive academic years, whether consecutively or intermittently, will be deemed to have waived their unlimited exam rights and will be dismissed from the university. e. Students who are granted unlimited exam rights and additional time will continue to pay the contribution fee/tuition fee per course for each exam they take.
Students whose total number of failed courses, including those they have never taken or were unable to take or failed due to not meeting attendance requirements, exceeds five after additional exams will be dismissed.

IMPLEMENTATION PROCEDURES FOR ADDITIONAL TIME

The semester rights of students who gain the right to use additional time after the Additional Exams will begin from the 2024-2025 academic year fall semester. After the decision of the Administrative Board of the academic units following the Additional Exams, students must pay the tuition fee for the relevant term and complete their course registration/renewal. Students will use their exam rights for the courses with additional time in the midterm and final exams offered in the relevant semesters.
