Little Hearts Meet Traditional Games: A Meaningful Collaboration Between SDU and Şevket Demirel Kindergarten

As part of the "Traditional Children's Games Project" conducted in collaboration with Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Sports Sciences, the event titled "Little Hearts Meet Traditional Games" was held on May 30, 2025, at Şevket Demirel Kindergarten.

The event came to life with the active participation of 2nd- and 3rd-year students from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching. Aimed at helping children connect with their cultural heritage, the event revived traditional games that are on the verge of being forgotten.

Organized under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Yavuz Akıncı, Research Assistant Murat Çimen, and Research Assistant Gül Bahar Bayıroğlu, the project aimed not only to support children's physical development but also to enhance their social interaction and cultural awareness.

With the power of traditional games, little hearts beamed with joy and experienced a fun and educational day. We extend our thanks to all the participating students, faculty members, and Şevket Demirel Kindergarten for their contributions.
