Visit to Kazakhstan by Our University Rectorate and International Relations General Coordinator

Our University Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Saltan, along with our University's General Coordinator of International Relations and Faculty Member of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Kubilay Türkay, conducted three significant visits in Almaty, the capital of Kazakhstan, from August 5-8, 2024, as part of the Erasmus KA171 Project.

The first visit was made to the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Almaty, Mr. Evren Müderrisoğlu, and our Education Attaché, Mr. Ayhan Korkmaz. The second visit was to our Erasmus KA171 partner, Almaty Al-Farabi University, which holds a high global ranking, and its Rector, former State Minister Prof. Dr. Canseyit Tüymabayev. During this visit, the emphasis was placed on further strengthening the existing cooperation between the two countries and universities and the necessity of frequently maintaining these collaborations, especially for the benefit of a strong Turkic World. Prof. Dr. Canseyit Tüymabayev, Rector of Al-Farabi University, who was very pleased with the visit, extended an invitation for a future meeting and showed great interest in the Süleyman Demirel University delegation.

The third visit was made to the Kazakhstan International University of Engineering and Technology. Both universities' rectors and their teams were present at this visit. It was expressed that bilateral dialogues between the two universities could continue and strengthen further in the future. Both sides expressed their satisfaction.
