With the Collaboration of SDU Faculty of Sports Sciences, Girls Met with Nature and Sports at the “Outdoor Sports and Discovery Day” Event

This year, May 19th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day was marked by a special event where girls connected with nature and were empowered through sports. As part of the Legendscup Sports Participation Support Program for Children run by the Girls’ Support Association, the “Outdoor Sports and Discovery Day” event created unforgettable moments.

The event was planned and successfully carried out in collaboration with faculty members and research assistants from Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Sports Sciences. Assoc. Prof. Abdullah Yavuz Akıncı, Res. Assist. Murat Çimen, Res. Assist. Gül Bahar Bayıroğlu, and one of the event coordinators, Bersu Olgu Erdoğdu, played active roles.

Hosted by Ütopya Nature-Based Learning and Activity Center, the event provided participating girls with opportunities to connect with nature, explore various sports disciplines, develop environmental awareness, and discover their surroundings. Supporting both physical and social development, the event offered an inspiring experience for the children.

This meaningful organization, carried out with the support of Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Sports Sciences, contributed to empowering both youth and girls through sports.
